SGR Music Group's Angel of R&P to release Debut Project entitled “Thank You”!

After lending vocal support on female rap artist, La Toya “Tragedy” Burns', EMI distributed release Princess Cut, the spirit-filled singer from Mississippi is set to take center stage. To celebrate, Alkendria's debut CD “Thank You” will be released in stores, Tuesday July 3, 2007.

The singer currently records and resides in Houston, TX where she relocated in 2001. She returns home often to visit family and friends and asserts,” it was the experiences during those formative years growing up in and around the Collins, Laurel and Hattiesburg area that fashioned me into the woman I am today”. Alkendria further adds, "My debut project is a heartfelt and sincere collage of all the bittersweet events that have led me to this point in my life". She further shares, the goal of her debut project is to package a collection of work that will penetrate hardened hearts and make a positive and lasting impact into the lives of those who listen.

The debut CD features blazin' production from Stikk, Christopher Priest, and B from 4Sight Sounds. Thank You also boasts masterful post production from the skilled hands and keen ears of Sammy Huen of Global Audio Sounds. D. The meet and greet event takes place during the Houston Black Expo on Saturday May 19 th and Sunday May 20 th at the George R. Brown Convention center Hall C. Alkendria as well as other artists and members of SGR Music Group will be on hand at corner booth #419 for the celebration.

Alkendria will kick off her concert dates in her home town. She will be live in concert Saturday May 26th at the St. John Church M.B. Church located at 827 S. 8th Avenue in Laurel, MS.
